Monika & Mark - London
Wedding
A Hungarian / British Lovestory.
The 12th of May was a very special day. Not only was I photographing Monika & Marks Civil Marriage, but on top of that I had the honour to do so in the breathtaking halls of The Landmark Hotel in West London´s Marylebone. What a treat!
Both, Monika & Mark used to work in this hotel. In fact, they got to know each other in these very halls. This really makes the choice of the venue even more special. We started off around noon with a little session - first in Marks and later in Monika´s suite. I had the chance to capture all those little moments of them getting ready, while the family started gathering and the excitement level of bride and groom got higher and higher...
The ceremony took place in the Old Marylebone Town Hall just a few feet down the road from the hotel. The day was beautiful, the weather was warm and - although I am not supposed to say that as a wedding photographer - I was absolutely thrilled about the slight drizzle that came down on us while we were making our way to the Town Hall. What an authentic London day that was. The Old Marylebone Town Hall is one of the most iconic wedding and ceremony venues in the heart of London. And this with a reason. The entrance is epic and almost seems a bit too big (maybe that´s because I am not the tallest as most of you know) and the lobby, the staircase and all those little rooms inside were just enchanting. We made our way to the Soho room, where Mark was about to see his Monika for the first time.
Back in The Landmark Hotel The magnificent Winter Garden in the Landmark Hotel with its opulent Victorian Design and the grand staircases were the perfect location for a little couple session and some family portraits. But after that it was time to celebrate. All guests made their way into the light flooded Tower Suit were the elegant white table setting went hand in hand with the orchid bouquets that were spread all over the room.
What a great wedding that was. You truly could feel the love and joy in this historic walls that day. A hurray, to Monika and Mark - who had their perfect fairytale wedding in the heart of London.
